The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Cardano Foundation have launched a new NFT collection to help refugees, support young artists, and fund art projects that care for the planet.

Moreover, this project brings together technology and creativity to make the world a better place. Buyers can mint (or purchase) the NFT collection, called “Cardano Summit 2024,” through NMKR, a platform that makes NFTs easy to create and trade, until December 4, 2024.

This project is a group effort involving several organizations. Along with the Cardano Foundation and UNHCR, Project Catalyst, an innovation fund that supports Cardano projects, is part of this initiative. Additionally, Goodwall, an app that helps young people with education and career opportunities, is also involved.

NMKR, a company that provides tools for making and selling NFTs, is helping too. Therefore, their easy-to-use tools allow anyone to add NFTs to their website. Together, these organizations aim to use technology and art to help refugees and support young talent.

Cardano Summit Celebrates Young Artists Across Africa

The “Cardano Summit 2024” NFT collection showcases artwork from young digital artists in African countries like Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, and Cameroon. Furthermore, there are two types of NFTs in the collection: the Official NFT and the Special Collection. These artworks show the rich cultures and stories of the artists.

The collection will be revealed during the Cardano Summit in Dubai, giving young artists a chance to shine on a global stage. Meanwhile, money raised from the NFTs will support refugees and fund art projects that focus on sustainability.

Using Blockchain for a Better World

This project further shows how blockchain technology can solve real-world problems. The Cardano Foundation, based in Switzerland, continues to explore how digital tools can help people in need.

Ultimately, with minting open for a short time, this project combines compassion with creativity. It shows how blockchain can solve global problems and help people grow. By working together, the Cardano community is creating a future where technology and kindness make a difference.
